Re: our solar system Dave Carlson and crew were absolutely wonderful during the bidding, installation, and education process. Dave is incredibly responsive both by email and phone, and has never failed to either answer his phone or call us back nearly immediately after we left a message. When our inverter had a short, he came the same day to retrieve it, order the replacement, and install it on the day it was delivered to his business. When there was a lightning strike nearby, he came to make sure it was okay. I have recommended him to many people, one has had him install a solar system, and we are beyond happy with our decision to hire him. We had Dave replace our aging natural gas hot water heater, and even with that and with air conditioning running fairly frequently, our bill dropped from $87 budget saver to $15. As an aside, we contacted two companies late one evening about bidding on a system. Dave responded within one-half hour, and the other (from Menomonie) two days later.

* * * * * Dave and his 2-3 man crew installed our (5000W) 24 solar panel system on our 3-car garage in less than 4 days (start to finish) installed four years ago (2014). We have had zero issues so far. The payback was immediate since our electric bills were about $80-$120 per month cheaper. We knew this was an investment (returns with a pay-off). However, Jump River Electric Co-op always gets the $39/mo for the big electric box in our yard. No escaping that. Any extra power generated went back to the (grid) power company to be applied to future monthly electric bills. The solar panels took 2 weeks to order, but all the electrical work was completed before hand. Paid for the panels upon order. Then paid for the rest of the job after they were installed and running. Dave sat down with us and guided us through the tax incentives (10% for 3 years) and the ($2000) grant procedure and answered any questions we had. We estimated the payback to be 8-9 years. Not bad for living in cloudy northern WI. (Ladysmith). . . Thanks, Dave.

We had an unfortunate event when we arrived at our cabin on Christmas Eve to find that our cabin had froze solid due to a corroded breaker. No one in 100 miles could be bothered, but Dave and his team were able to come out on the 28th to assess the situation. They identified the cause immediately, and worked with my insurance to get everything fixed fast! Everything was done by mid-January including replacing the breaker box, replacing 100% of the plumbing lines with pex lines (instead of copper), replaced dishwasher and well water tank, etc. They did an excellent job, keeping us informed of progress and issues as they went. Price was very fair, and the quality of work was excellent. THANKS Carlson Electric! You saved us and got us back into a comfortable and warm cabin in record time!

After a couple of years of no luck trying to get an Electrical Contractor to Show up to give us a quote, and perform the necessary work we needed done, a Friend recommended Carlson Electric. Dave Carlson showed up at the designated time, gave me a very fair quote, and then his crew showed up when scheduled and performed all the work quickly. They were very Professional, and went the extra step, doing some items that weren't even on the bid, and stuck to the Bid price!!! I will be using Carlson Electric for all my electrical work from now on. VERY SATISFIED 👍

We installed solar in Wisconsin in the Price Electric Cooperative area. The work was done with excellence. Dave is a strong advocate in working with the provider. In this circumstance the Cooperative, as well as we suspect other Wisconsin providers are often vague and misleading in their published materials concerning how they will handle solar customers. Dave Carlson works hard to try persuade Price Electric to follow normal business practices and be supportive of our energy future. Our solar system works great.

Carlson Electric did a fast, thorough job on replacing our antiquated florescent bulbs and ballasts with new energy efficient equipment that put out brighter, more consistent lighting throughout our workplace. Dave even found us cost savings incentives to offset the price for having them switched out. The staff was also very courteous and accommodating. We would recommend Carlson Electric to service your electrical needs and discover options to help save you money on your energy usage.

This is an update to a review I posted in October. I had concerns about the communication from Carlson Electric, but since then they have been very communicative and the project is now installed and on line. my updated rating is mostly because the work crew who spent 3 days at our home were fabulous. They were polite and clearly knew what they were doing. We could not have asked for better. They deserve this 5 star rating.

Will definitely be calling this business in the future! We had a power interruption with the rest of the town, however our main breaker decided to retire during said interruption. Carlson Electric came to the house within minutes and replaced the whole panel for an extremely reasonable price, given it was an emergency. Thank you so much again!!

We were in dire need of assistance with our solar. We had been having issues with our batteries and the original installer wasn't responding. Dave came out, took a look at our system and offered to help. He was able to get the new batteries installed sooner than expected and resolved a few other issues for us. We are so very thankful for Dave and his crew... they are our HERO'S!

These people are great to work with. Paula is very responsive and their electricians are prompt, do quality work, and communicate well with the customer. I recommend them 100%.
